Jolting awake with a fire still smoldering in her mind Lark shot to her feet and bolted. Why was her past still chasing her, taunting her?! Why wouldn't it leave her alone?! Daggers pounding into the ground Lark galloped across the lands. Coming to a sudden stop she froze in place as her auds flicked back and forth she heard the roaring of a waterfall. What had she stumbled across? Her chestnut orbs took in the view. The grass was green, the falls were beautiful, and she was alone. Birdsong echoed around her, the Earth seemed to hum.
Lark's heart beat fast against her ribs but she calmed herself enough to graze upon some of the grass. Perhaps she could start anew in this place, this beautiful place. She shook herself as she grazed on some more grass, for now being alone was good. She flicked her banner contentedly against her flank as she grazed through the land. Pausing after a while to rest she smiled. Yes, Lark could get used to this place. She liked it, and she wasn't budging. This was going to be home and nothing, not even her past would change that.
